The “Labarta Pose” Amateur Theatre Exhibition is a reference contest organized by the City Council of Zas – in collaboration with the Badius theatre group and the Provincial Council of A Coruña – to promote the performing arts made in Galicia and in Galician. Each edition receives dozens of proposals from amateur companies from all over Galicia, from which a jury selects the finalists to be represented in the auditoriums of Zas and Baio, with free admission until the end of the year.

The financial endowment distributes several thousand euros among the finalist productions, with the aim of encouraging scenic creation and giving visibility to groups that work theatre with passion from the amateur field. At the end of the performances, the awards ceremony is held, in a festive event in which the Municipal Theatre School usually participates.
