Commissioned to be built by Álvaro Núñez de Lamas, it is one of the most prominent temples in the municipality. Inside is the sarcophagus of the founder’s mother, which adds historical and symbolic value. The plan consists of a rectangular nave and a large chapel.
On the outside, the contrast of volumes between the chapel and the main nave is striking, as well as the slender bell tower, which defines the profile of the church on the horizon of Zas.
