The Primary Care Social Services of the Zas City Council have been working for more than 16 years as the level closest to the neighborhood, families and their social environment. Its mission is to offer information, guidance and support in matters of social rights, accompanying people in situations of vulnerability and serving as a bridge to other resources or specialized services when necessary.
Among its main objectives are:
- Detect social needs and evaluate individual or collective problems in order to respond to them.
- Inform and advise on rights, resources and procedures in social matters.
- Develop preventive actions, especially with groups at risk.
- Promote personal autonomy, integration and permanence in the family environment or, when this is not possible, promote suitable living alternatives.
- Support the social insertion of people in situations of marginalization or exclusion.
- Promote associative life, community development and volunteering as tools for raising awareness and citizen participation.
- Coordinate with public bodies and private entities to improve the effectiveness of social services.
The City Council of Zas also has specific municipal regulations that regulate fundamental services such as the Home Assistance Service and the issuance of parking cards for people with disabilities, thus guaranteeing equal access to basic welfare resources.
Social Services are, in short, a space of close support, designed to accompany people, improve their quality of life and strengthen social cohesion in the municipality.
