Máis información sobre Trail of the Pazos

The Trail of the Pazos takes us along the paths of the noble history of Zas, when noble families dominated lands and jurisdictions under the foral regime. Between the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries, the pazos were enlarged and adorned with Baroque elements, becoming symbols of power and prestige.

The tour includes some of the most representative pazos, such as the Torres do Allo, a pioneering and surprising example for its Gothic-Renaissance architecture, or the Torres de Romelle, surrounded by a wall and with gardens that evoke an authentic castle. Also noteworthy are the Pazo das Edreiras and the Pazo de Follente, linked to families such as the Caamaño, the Leis or the Moscoso.

The trail is completed with a visit to churches, crosses, pumpkins, pigeons and mills that are part of the noble landscape and that show how the pazos were authentic centers of social and economic life. The coats of arms, chapels and gardens speak of a time of splendor and an aesthetic that still surprises today.

This tour is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the stately architecture and social history of the region, recognizing the mark that the nobility has left in Zas and on the Costa da Morte.
