Enrique Labarta Pose (Baio, 1863 – Barcelona, 1925) is an essential figure of Galician literature: poet, narrator, playwright, journalist and pioneer of photography and advertising in Galicia. Known as the Galician Quevedo, he cultivated poetry, narrative and theatre in Galician and Spanish with a style full of humour, satire, irony and social commitment, leaving a deep mark on the Costa da Morte and on Galicia as a whole.
