The ELAS Magazine is a digital publication promoted by the Women’s Information Center (CIM) of the City Council of Zas as a space for reflection, dissemination and meeting around equality. It was born with the desire to make female referents visible, give voice to current Galician women and promote education in equal values among young people.
The first issue includes co-education articles made by students from local schools, interviews with inspiring women, contributions on feminism in the classroom and a historical appendix that recovers forgotten female figures in textbooks. It also includes current projects by Galician women linked to sport, art, literature or social struggle, as well as international experiences of solidarity and activism.
The magazine combines testimonies, artistic creations and educational proposals, offering a plural and enriching look at the role of women in society. It is, in short, a tool of awareness and training that connects culture, education and equality, strengthening the commitment of the CIM of Zas to the defense of women’s rights and the promotion of a more just and diverse society
The City Council of Zas makes available to the public a series of modern and well-equipped facilities, designed to promote sport, culture and social life. These spaces offer a variety of services that contribute to the well-being of the neighborhood and community revitalization.
The municipal swimming pools open during the summer season and are one of the most demanded resources in the neighborhood. They have areas adapted for adults and children, making them an ideal place to cool off, practice swimming or enjoy free time with the family.
The two municipal football fields host official matches, local tournaments and training sessions for clubs and sports schools. It is a meeting point for grassroots sports and amateurs of all ages.
These are versatile and modern facilities in which sports disciplines such as basketball, indoor football or volleyball can be practiced, as well as hosting extracurricular activities and social events organized by the municipality.
This center is a space of cultural and educational dynamism, equipped with a public access library, a computer room and several classrooms intended for training. Workshops, courses and neighborhood meetings are also held there.
With a library, computer room and cafeteria service, this center becomes a meeting place for the neighborhood. Its cultural and educational programming makes it a reference space in the municipality.
