What to see in Zas on a Saturday<\/h4>\n\n

In the morning, we propose a relaxing walk through the oak grove<\/em> of Baio, a natural space bathed by the waters of the Rio Grande. From its left bank you can head towards the recreational area of Pedra Vix\u00eda and, along the way, you will find old mills. From the area, a few meters away, following the river on the left side, you will discover the remains of the dolmen of Pedra Vix\u00eda. <\/p>\n\n

In the afternoon, we suggest you take the Route of the Pazos<\/a>. Four houses of the Galician nobility from different eras, among which is considered the oldest palace in Galicia, the Torres do Allo<\/g>, a beautiful building declared BIC (Asset of Cultural Interest) that currently houses a tourist information center. The other three, Follente, Romelle and Edreiras, are privately owned so you can only get to know their exteriors. <\/p>\n\n

Keep in mind that if your stay in the municipality of Zas coincides with the first Saturday of August, you will have an obligatory appointment at the Festa da Carballeira<\/em> de Zas, where throughout the day one of the most important folk music festivals in Galicia is held, year after year. Without a clutch, if you happen to be on the fourth Saturday of August, you must attend the Pilgrimage of San Roque do Monte<\/em> in the parish of Mira, a festival characterized by the feast of roosters, religious acts, musical performances and a multitudinous country snack. <\/p>\n\n

What to see in Zas on a Sunday<\/h4>\n\n

At the beginning of the day, enjoy the small route from Zas to Rial de Abaixo<\/a>. In it, you will visit its oak tree<\/em> and see beautiful views of the municipality from its highest points. <\/p>\n\n

Without a clue, if your passage through Zas is at the beginning of summer, on the last Sunday of June, attend the Festa de la Carballeira<\/g> de Baio, a great pilgrimage in which you will enjoy a day full of musical performances. On the contrary, take note if you visit us on the first Sunday of July when you will have the opportunity to see the Rapa das Bestas <\/em>de Carreira, an event in the place of A Pedragueira in which the participants are in charge of gathering the horses and then cutting the manes. <\/p>\n\n
